By Chris Johnson, Republican incumbent for Randall County Constable, Pct. 4

First and foremost, I want to let you know it is my honor to be your Constable for Randall County, Pct. 4.  I have worked diligently over the last seven years to make this office a financially viable part of the community.  The Constable’s office financial revenues have increased 600% since I first took office in 2013. Currently, my office is on track this fiscal year to increase revenue another 50% over last year’s revenue. Since day one, I have worked with legal entities and businesses across the financial spectrum to gain their partnership with the Constable’s office and Randall County. Even though we often equate government success with revenue, it is not the only metric of the success of this office.

Here are a few things I have done since 2013

  • Over 12 years of Law Enforcement Experience, seven years as Constable 20 years of business experience including budgeting, forecasting, and management

  • Bachelor’s Degree from West Texas A&M University

  • Applied and approved for a Federal Grant in 2016 to pay one-half of a patrol vehicle saving our citizens of Randall County $27,000.00.

  • Constable of the Year 2017 (WTJPCA)

  • Graduated 2018 from the Texas Constables Leadership College (TCLC) #13 from Sam Houston University

  • Received my Master Peace Officer Certification in 2018: this is a unique recognition that exemplifies commitment, passion, and sacrifice to the law enforcement profession.

  • Currently serving on Texas State Constable’s Training Committee with the Texas Justice

  • Received Certified Fraud Examiner Certification (CFE) 2019

  • Served as Vice President, President, and Director of the Board of West Texas Justice of the Peace and Constable’s Association (WTJPCA)

  • Master Peace Officer Certification: this is a unique recognition that exemplifies commitment, passion, and sacrifice to the law enforcement profession.

  • Currently serving on Texas State Constable’s Training Committee with the Texas Justice Court Training Center, Texas State University

  • As of 2019 again, increased the Constable’s Civil Department revenue over 600% since 2013

  • First Law Enforcement Office in the entire state of Texas to have a Fulcrum portable fingerprint scanner.  Moving Law Enforcement into the 21st Century

  • Have cleared over 700 warrants over all the last seven years, averaging 100 per year.

Unfortunately, I must take a moment to address a situation which has arisen during this election cycle of which you may or may not be aware. Some people have used social media to attempt to slander my reputation and the honorable work I have done for Randall County for the past seven years. I had planned on addressing the specifics in this letter; however, I have decided I will no longer dignify the mudslinging and baseless accusations from the other side.

I promise despite this Fake Face-news travesty, as your Constable I will continue to represent every resident of Randall County with honor, integrity, and honesty.

I hope each and every one of you have a blessed life.
