U.S. Representative-elect Ronny Jackson (R-Amarillo) tweeted a “thank you” message to President Donald Trump on Tuesday regarding election integrity.

In the new tweet, Jackson thanked Trump, amid ongoing disputes about election integrity and election results nationwide, and said Americans need more leaders like the 45th President.

“THANK YOU @realdonaldtrump for your efforts to protect the integrity of our elections,” Jackson wrote. “This nation deserves leaders LIKE YOU who will fight for the American people.”

Tuesday’s tweet from Jackson followed a tweet from the incoming congressman from Monday, in which he also expressed support for Trump regarding election integrity.

“This country has never had a President who’s cared about American citizens like @realDonaldTrump,” Jackson wrote. “I support the President and ALL of his efforts to protect the integrity of our elections.”

Jackson is currently set to take office in January as the newest congressman from Texas’ 13th Congressional District, replacing outgoing incumbent Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon).
