Potter County Voters Back Brumley, Jackson for Re-Election

Two incumbents won re-election in Potter County on Tuesday night.

According to unofficial results, Potter County Attorney Scott Brumley, a Republican, defeated Democrat Ryan Patrick Brown to keep his job in the hands of Republicans for another four years. Brumley defeated Brown with 72 percent of the vote.

Also in Potter County, voters re-elected Precinct 4 Constable Idella Thomas-Jackson to another term in office over Republican challenger Kerry Haney. Jackson, a Democrat, won 56 percent of the vote against Haney’s 44 percent.

A third Potter County incumbent — Precinct 2 Constable Georgia Estrada — was expected to face a contested general election, but her opponent was ruled ineligible to appear on the ballot and was not replaced with an alternative Republican candidate.

Brumley, Jackson, and Estrada will all take office for their new terms in January.
