The Amarillo Sod Poodles will be competing for the Texas League crown after rallying back to claim their spot over the Midland RockHounds this weekend.
On Sunday, the Soddies won the fifth game of the divisional series over Midland after dropping the first two at home. All three wins in the series came in Midland, and secured Amarillo’s first trip to the Texas League Championship Series.
Amarillo’s championship run will officially kickoff on Tuesday night at Hodgetown. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05PM, as the Soddies hope to steal a victory from the Tulsa Drillers.
