APD Announces Promotions

Amarillo Police Department officials held a promotion ceremony this week at the Globe-News Center in downtown Amarillo.

According to APD, several promotions were awarded during the ceremony. Officer Blake Gray was promoted to corporal after five years with the APD and Chase Whitney was promoted to corporal after six years. Corporals Zachary Charter and Clay Hegwood were promoted to sergeant. Sergeants Kevin Korinek and Shane Chadwick were promoted to lieutenant, and Lieutenant Erick Bohannon was promoted to captain.

The ceremony also saw Administrative Assistant Melissa Davis promoted from the detective division to the uniform division was an Administrative Assistant IV.
