Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro became the tenth Democratic presidential candidate to qualify for the next debate stage this week.
On Tuesday, Castro earned his spot on the September 12th debate stage after earning the support of two percent of respondents in a CNN poll. The poll made Castro the tenth candidate to qualify for the stage, joining Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Beto O’Rourke, Cory Booker, Amy Klobuchar, and Andrew Yang on the stage. Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and businessman Tom Steyer are also within striking distance of qualifying, both needing one to two additional polls to qualify for the debate.
The September 12th debate will be broadcast by ABC News.
