Potter County Commissioners have approved a new burn ban.
According to the Potter County Fire Department, Commissioners recently voted to establish a 90-day burn ban for Potter County, due to “persistent hot, dry and windy weather conditions.” This is the first burn ban for the county since the expiration of the last ban on May 12, 2019.
In addition to Potter County, Oldham County also enacted a brand new burn ban on Monday, as well.
