Two people were sent to a local hospital following an accident at Folsom Road and Highway 60 on Monday.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, an RV was northbound on Folsom Road, turning westbound onto Highway 60, while a tractor trailer was eastbound on Highway 60. Officials say the driver of the RV failed to yield and the tractor trailer struck the RV’s driver’s side.
A male driver and female passenger were transported to the hospital from the RV with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries. The tractor trailer driver was uninjured.
