Spence Victorious in Texas Title Defense

Undefeated IBF welterweight king Errol Spence, Jr. made a successful defense of his title under the bright lights in Dallas this past weekend.

On Saturday, Spence successfully defended his title against the then-undefeated Mikey Garcia in a twelve round battle at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. Spence outpointed Garcia, winning all twelve rounds on all three judges’ scorecards, unanimously claiming the decision. Spence joins boxing stars Manny Pacquiao and Canelo Alvarez in the elite club of combatants who have claimed wins at the Dallas stadium.

The fight was looked at as one of the most anticipated of the year, also serving as the second pay-per-view fight of 2019. Earlier this year, Pacquiao claimed a victory on pay-per-view against Adrien Broner in a bout broadcast from Paradise, Nevada.
