Another Republican has filed with the FEC in preparation for a bid to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon).
Asusena Resendiz filed as a Republican with the FEC for a congressional bid this week. Resendiz is the former president and CEO of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Her entry into the race increases the number of Republicans running for the seat to nine. Three Democrats are also expected to run.
Candidates will file for spots on the ballot through December 9.
