A shooting is under investigation by the Amarillo Police Department.

According to APD, on Sunday night, at 8:35PM, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of North Carolina Street on a shooting. Officers located a 20-year-old male at the location suffering from a gunshot wound. The male was transported to a local hospital with what was believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Officers received conflicting information on what occurred during the incident that led to the shooting. There is no suspect description at this time.
