Jose "Joey" Martinez has been selected to create a new mural inside Rick Husband International Airport.
This week, the City of Amarillo Beautification and Public Arts Advisory Board announced Martinez as the selected artist to create a new mural inside of the airport. The 12-by-48 mural will be completed in partnership with the Amarillo Convention and Visitor Council.
The mural will be situated on the interior wall of the west side of the second floor ticketing and flight check-in area.
More details about the mural will be released next week.
