One person was treated for smoke inhalation during a fire that took place early Friday morning.
According to the Amarillo Fire Department, crews were dispatched at 3:07am to a structure fire at 110 N. La Salle. Crews arrived three minutes later and found a detached car port and storage building completely involved in the fire. The fire had extended to the fence and an adjacent garage at 108 North La Salle.
Amarillo Police arrived on scene and evacuated occupants of both addresses. An occupant in a rear apartment at 110 N. La Salle was treated for minor smoke inhalation. This was the only reported injury.
The fire was called under control at 3:46am. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damages are estimated at $60,000.
