Kyle Schniederjan has been promoted to a higher role at Amarillo City Hall.

According to information released by the City of Amarillo, city manager Jared Miller announced Schniederjan's promotion during Tuesday's meeting of the City Council. Schniederjan will now serve as director of capital projects and development engineering, after serving the City of Amarillo as a city engineer.

Schniederjan will bring thirteen years of experience to the job, including five years at the City of Amarillo. Schniederjan is a graduate of Randall High School in Amarillo and holds a degree with Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University.

Schniederjan's predecessor, now-assistant city manager Floyd Hartman, praised Schniederjan in a statement, saying that his work ethic will be a benefit for the people of Amarillo.

“Kyle’s consistent work ethic along with his abundant experience set him apart from other applicants, and he has excelled at each of his positions within the City, including most recently city engineer,” Hartman said. “I look forward to his continued commitment to high performance to the residents of Amarillo.”
