A new office for the Amarillo Police Department will open tomorrow.
According to APD, officials will open a new office for the APD Motorcycle Unit on Thursday at 6017 Hillside, Suite 300. The new office, which is not a substation, will also house the APD School Liaison Unit Supervisor. Officials say the move will allow space to be better utilized at the department's downtown headquarters.
The space for the office was donated to APD by the Shinall Group. APD is leasing the space for $1 per year, for up to eight years.
This office will not have posted hours. Anyone needing police assistance is asked to call APD's non emergency line at 806-378-3038.
