Rick Haasl Named Faculty Director for Rogers LEAD WT Program

Rick Haasl has been named the new faculty director for the Rogers LEAD WT program.

Haasl, assistant dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at West Texas A&M University, has been named the new faculty director for the Rogers LEAD WT program. Haasl will take on the job when he expands his role at the university on August 1st.

In a statement, Mike Knox, WTAMU vice president for the Office of Student Enrollment, Engagement and Success, said that Knox is perfect for the role with the Rogers LEAD program.

“In the years I have known Rick, he has a demonstrated love for students and for leadership,” Knox said. “I am so pleased that he will have the opportunity to work where these two passions intersect. We look forward to seeing Rick inspire and teach in the Rogers LEAD WT program.”

According to WTAMU, the Rogers LEAD WT program is a leadership certificate program at "designed to help students discover their leadership potential through education, application and service." As leader of the program, Haasl will oversee all academic material related to the program and will lead LEAD courses.

Haasl will replace Amber Black, director of career services, who is stepping down from the Rogers LEAD role at the end of the spring semester.
