May 22nd Runoff - Election Dates You Need to Know

The calendar is quickly approaching May and that means that it is almost time for the May 22nd Republican and Democratic primary runoffs. On May 22nd, Potter County Republicans will decide three races to replace retiring judges and, statewide, Democratic voters will pick their nominee for governor between Houston businessman Andrew White and former Dallas County sheriff Lupe Valdez.

Your chance to register to vote for the May 22nd runoff is now over and we are now in the 30-day sprint to election day. Here are the important dates that you need to know if you plan to vote in the May 22nd runoff.

  • Friday, May 11, 2018 - Last Day to Request Ballot by Mail (Received, Not Postmarked)

  • Monday, May 14, 2018 - Early Voting Begins

  • Monday, May 14, 2018 - Pre-Runoff Finance Report Due for Candidates

  • Friday, May 18, 2018 - Early Voting Ends

  • Tuesday, May 22, 2018 - Last Day to Receive Ballot by Mail

  • Tuesday, May 22, 2018 - Election Day
