Amarillo Crime Stoppers to Sponsor 'Shred It' Day

Amarillo Crime Stoppers will sponsor a "Shred It Day" next weekend to encourage residents to be careful with sensitive information.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, Crime Stoppers will host the "Shred It Day" at United Market Street (2530 S. Georgia) on April 21st from 10am until 2pm. During this time, residents are encouraged to bring sensitive documents needing disposal.  Officers will accept four bags or small boxes for on-site destruction. The destroyed paper will be used in recycling efforts.
