AQHA Show to Leave Amarillo, Move to Fort Worth

A major horse show is leaving Amarillo.

On Monday, the American Quarter Horse Association announced that the 2019 Adequan Select World Show will leave Amarillo in favor of the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth. The Fort Worth venue will play host to the show through 2021.

Pete Kyle, AQHA show chief, said in a statement that he is grateful to the Amarillo National Center in Amarillo but is excited for the move to Fort Worth.

“AQHA is very grateful to the Tri-State Fairgrounds in Amarillo, and the hospitality that has been shown to AQHA and AQHA members since the inception of the Adequan Select World in 2003,” Kyle said. “We are looking forward to building a relationship with the Will Rogers Memorial Center to provide a more centrally located facility and potentially expand the size of this event.”
