Canyon Commissioners to Approve Audit

City Commissioners in Canyon are considering approving an audit next week.

On Monday, Commissioners will vote on whether to approve a 2016-2017 audit of the City of Canyon conducted by Doshier, Pickens & Francis. According to a memo from the Canyon city manager's office, the audit shows an ending net position for the City of Canyon of $57,944,801.

Commissioners are being urged by City staff to approve the audit report.

Also, during Monday's meeting, Commissioners will consider requesting the transfer of Spur 48 from From TxDOT to the City of Canyon. The resolution would move Russell Long Boulevard from the Texas Department of Transportation into the full possession of the City of Canyon.

The meeting will be held in the Commission Chambers of Canyon City Hall (301 16th Street, Canyon) on Monday, March 19th. The meeting is set to begin at 5:30pm.
