Governor Greg Abbott met with a prince this week in Austin.
On Thursday, Governor Abbott met with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway to discuss the trade relationship between Norway and Texas and how to improve that relationship. The two also discussed water infrastructure and energy issues.
Several topics that are mutually affecting both Texas and Norway were also discussed. A prominent topic of discussion between the two leaders was electronic transportation. Abbott and Prince Haakon both discussed electronic rail transportation, as well as electronic cars. Abbott also congratulated Haakon for his country's performance at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Haakon met with Abbott as he is in Austin attending the South by Southwest festival.
