Beals Overwhelms Tinsley to Take Constable Seat

The Republican votes continued to roll in on Tuesday night in one race, giving a recently-appointed incumbent a clear shot to victory.

On Tuesday night, Republican incumbent Richard Beals won the Randall County Constable Precinct 1 race, pulling in around 99 percent of the vote. Write-in candidate Patrick Tinsley won a little over 1 percent of the vote, or 127 votes out of about 9,700 cast.

Beals was appointed by the Randall County Commission to take the job after the resignation of Chris Tinsley earlier this year. Beals was a political newcomer this year, and did not face a partisan challenger.

Constable Beals will now serve out the remainder of the term through 2021.
