Amarillo National Bank Acquiring Lubbock Bank

Lubbock National Bank will soon become part of Amarillo National Bank.

On Monday, Lubbock National Bank and Amarillo National Bank held a press conference, in which Amarillo National Bank announced it would be acquiring the Lubbock franchise of banks. The Lubbock bank currently has locations in Lubbock and in several other areas of the state.

According to KCBD-TV in Lubbock, Lubbock National Bank issued a statement, expressing optimism during the change.

“Lubbock National Bank has been a proud part of Texas banking since the early 1900s, in times of war and economic hardship, as well as prosperity and abundance. While the world around us has seemed chaotic at times, LNB has always provided our customers a trusted place to manage and grow their hard-earned money,” LNB said in the statement.

The deal is expected to be completed by March. Officials say this will not affect any existing customers with either bank.
