Drivers across Amarillo saw road delays on Monday due to heavy rains and flooding.
On Monday morning, authorities from the Texas Department of Transportation, the Amarillo Police Department and others were alerting residents to standing water in certain areas. Due to heavy rains on Monday morning and Friday night, certain roads in Amarillo had become flooded, with cars left stalled.
Authorities told residents to watch for heavy water to avoid hydroplaning or being involved in some other type of automotive difficulty.
