Senator Ted Cruz is leading Democrat Beto O’Rourke by a little over three points in a brand new poll released this week.
On Wednesday, a new poll from UT-Tyler has Cruz leading O’Rourke in a U.S. Senate match up, 49.8 percent to 46 percent. Excluding those who are not sure who they will support, the remaining percentage of voters said they will support someone else in the race. This poll did not include Libertarian Neal Dikeman, the third candidate in the race.
Among likely voters, the poll also found Republican Governor Greg Abbott ahead in his bid for re-election. Abbott led Democrat Lupe Valdez in the poll, 52.6 percent to 32.2 percent. Libertarian Mark Tippetts was not included in the poll.
Voters will decide all of these contests on November 6th. Early voting is happening now.
