Senator Kel Seliger pulled in $13,000 during the most recent campaign finance reporting period.
In reports filed on Monday, Seliger reported pulling in $13,450 during the most recent reporting cycle of the November campaign. The number is modest compared to large fundraising conducted by Seliger during his campaign faceoff with former Midland mayor Mike Canon and former Muleshoe mayor Victor Leal in March. Seliger narrowly escaped a runoff in that race, coming in just over the 50 percent threshold.
The vast majority of donations reported by Seliger during this period were from political action committees and groups. In total, Seliger finished the cycle with around $28,000 in expenditures and $446,000 in the bank.
Seliger’s only November opponent, Libertarian Jack B. Westbrook, reported a single in-kind donation of $200.
Voters will decide this race in November.
