Amarillo ISD Seeking New Teachers

If you have ever considered being a teacher for the Amarillo Independent School District, your chance is coming up.

On Thursday, March 8th, Amarillo ISD will host an informational gathering for those interested in becoming teachers at AISD. Those who hold a bachelor's degree or are currently seeking a bachelor's degree are eligible to attend the event to find out how to become a fully certified teacher at Amarillo ISD. At the event, the school district will also inform attendees on how to obtain a teaching certificate.

"Tapping the skills, experiences, diversity, and resources of those outside of the educational field is essential in preparing each Amarillo ISD student for success beyond high school," AISD announced online. "That's why Amarillo ISD is also looking for educators with real-world experience."

The meeting will be held at 6pm on March 8th in the Amarillo ISD Education Support Center's board room (7200 I-40 West).
