Paramount Church Raises $192,000 for Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

by Mellessa Denny

The vision of Paramount Baptist Church is “A diverse church united to make disciples.” Paramount members, along with over 47,000 other Southern Baptist churches across the nation, joined forces this December to support North American and international missions.

Last year, Paramount raised $40,000 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering supporting the International Mission Board. This year, Andrew Hebert, Paramount’s lead pastor, challenged church members to give a record amount of $150,000. Paramount Baptist surpassed that challenge and gave over $192,000. This was possible through individual giving and fundraisers such as calendars featuring the ornate stained glass in the church’s sanctuary and sales of ornaments hand made by the children’s program.

In addition to giving generously, Paramount provides services for different groups in the community—weekly English lessons in a program known as LEAF(Learning English Among Friends), a dance studio, grief ministry, disaster relief team, a mother’s day out program and ministries for various age groups.

Through Paramount’s vision, the church is mobilizing in many different ways and giving sacrificially so that people around the world will come to know Jesus.
