A woman who is accused of fleeing the scene of a fatal accident on Amarillo Boulevard Monday morning has been arrested.
Amarillo Police Department officers report that while the Traffic Investigation Unit was working the scene of the accident on Monday, officers determined that the deceased male in the 2008 Pontiac vehicle, Herman Nanez, had not been the driver of the car. Officers determined that Princess Graciela Nanez, 21, had been the driver of the Pontiac and had fled the scene before officers arrived.
APD officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of Nanez and she was booked into the Potter County Detention Center on the charge of Accident Involving Death.
