Amarillo College to Establish Gregg Jordan Memorial Scholarship

"The memory of Gregg Jordan will live in perpetuity at Amarillo College, where he faithfully served on the Foundation Board of Directors until his untimely death last November.

Gregg’s friends, family and colleagues at Amarillo National Bank, where he was employed for 33 years, paid tribute to him on June 7th when they gathered at AC to present checks totaling $25,000.

The money, which was primarily generated through a successful 5K walk/run and wine-tasting event – among Gregg’s most cherished activities – will be used to establish the Gregg Jordan Memorial Scholarship within the AC Foundation.

“The impact of this gift will have both short-term and long-term implications of a very positive nature,” Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart, AC president, said. “It is an honor for us to remember and be a part of Gregg’s legacy."
