This morning, APD SWAT and Negotiators were dispatched to the 4200 block of Andrews on a shots fired incident. The APD bomb robot was utilized to make contact with a 56-year-old male who was believed to be the suspect in a morning aggravated assault.
Officers were able to break into a window on the front of the residence to see if the man could be seen. Officers saw the man in the front room of the residence suffering from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The suspect was later identified as Mark David Dial.
