APD Investigating Sunday Night Shooting

"On May 14th at 9:49 PM, APD officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of NE 10th Avenue on gun shots heard in the area.

Officers in the area were flagged down at a residence in that block reference a thirty two year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim and his wife had just arrived at this location. They were getting items out of the trunk of their car when they heard gunshots and then a car speed off. The victim was struck at least once in the right leg and officers later found bullet strikes on the residence as well.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There is no description of the suspect vehicle at this time.
