City Offering Free HIV Testing

"In recognition of National HIV Testing Day, the City of Amarillo’s Public Health department, in partnership with Walgreens and Greater Than AIDS, is providing free HIV testing and counseling on prevention strategies. Free HIV testing will be done at participating Walgreens all across the country, but locally from 3 – 7 p.m. on:

  • Tuesday, June 27, 5709 W. Amarillo Blvd.

  • Wednesday, June 28, 3320 Bell St.

  • Thursday, June 29, 801 N. Fillmore St.

An HIV tests consist of a finger-stick with results available on-site in about one minute and are free and confidential. Walk-ins are welcome with no appointment necessary. Make sure to look for the Public Health department’s Mobile Unit.
