Thornberry Backs Secret Service Recruitment Act

U.S. Congressman Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon) voted on Tuesday to approve a measure for overtime pay for U.S. Secret Service agents.

According to the House of Representatives journal, Thornberry joined a bipartisan majority to approve the passage of the bill. The bill, if passed and signed by President Donald Trump, would provide U.S. Secret Service agents with overtime pay.

The bill passed the U.S. House of Representatives in a 407-4 vote. Four Republicans voted against the bill. Another 22 representatives of both parties were not in attendance for the vote.
