In a last minute announcement, Congressman Beto O'Rourke (D-El Paso) announced that he will be in Amarillo on Friday to campaign for election to the U.S. Senate.
O'Rourke, an El Paso Democrat, will be visiting the In This Moment Event Venue (707 S. Polk) on Friday, December 29th, as part of his campaign to unseat Republican senator Ted Cruz in 2018. O'Rourke will be hosting a town hall type event and is encouraging residents to bring questions that are on their minds.
This will mark the fourth time since he has announced his campaign for the U.S. Senate that O'Rourke has visited the Amarillo and Canyon area. This event will also be the second town hall that he has held in Amarillo.
