Students in Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle are celebrating after being released from classrooms for Christmas break.
Amarillo Independent School District students were some of the many students who were released today for Christmas break. Many students were released today at noon, starting off the holiday season in style.
While some students will be travelling out of town, others plan to stay in Amarillo and celebrate with family members from other cities and towns.
Students at Amarillo ISD will return to class on January 8th following a long Christmas break. This is also the return date for students at Canyon Independent School District.
