Lubbock Named Safest City from Apocalypse

If an zombie apocalypse occurs, Lubbock may be the safest place to be.

According to a new article from the National Association of REALTORS, Lubbock has been named the safest place to survive during a zombie apocalypse. Lubbock was placed at the top of the list for several reasons, according to Realtor.com's Lance Lambert.

The main reason for Lubbock's listing as the safest place is its high number of safe rooms and panic rooms, according to Lambert. Lambert writes that following a major tornado in Lubbock during the 1970's, the city became one of the leading places in the nation for the creation of underground safe rooms.

Other reasons for the city's listing is its status as a smaller metro city and its options for those who enjoy gun sports.
