For those looking to reclaim pets at the Amarillo Animal Shelter, fees will be waived through the end of 2017.
According to information from Animal Management & Welfare, all reclaim fees for animals will be waived through December 31st. The reclaim fees will be waived with some exceptions. Exceptions include: bite quarantines, dangerous animal cases, incurred veterinarian fees, and Police Department impounds.
In addition, the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society will also be offering an adoption day in honor of Veteran's Day. Veterans will receive a half-off discount on adoptions and, if in uniform, adoption fees will be reduced to $1.
All attendees to adoption day are asked to bring canned foods to donate to the High Plains Food Bank.
