Weaver Files to Run for Judge

Walt Weaver, a local criminal defense attorney, is running for Potter County Court at Law.

Attorney Walt Weaver filed on Monday to run in the Republican primary for Potter County Court at Law #1. Weaver is the first candidate to file to run for the bench as incumbent Corky Roberts is not seeking re-election.

Weaver is a local attorney with 24 years of experience. According to information released by the campaign, Weaver has experience practicing criminal, family, juvenile and civil law and served as Assistant District Attorney, Chief Felony Prosecutor for the 108th District Court and as special prosecutor for the 100th judicial district.

Weaver's campaign treasurer is Dalles Perrin.

Candidates have until December 11th to file for a place on the primary ballot.
