AgriLife Center to Offer Food Handler Course

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Center will be hosting a food handler course in Pampa on October 11th.

As part of the Food Safety: It's In Your Hands course, attendees will learn about Texas Food Establishment Rules and revisions. According to officials from the AgriLife center, rules were revised in October of 2015 and a major revision now requires food employees to complete an accredited food handler's training course within 60 days of earning employment.

The course is two hours and costs $20 per person. Attendees who complete the training will receive a certificate that is valid anywhere in the state of Texas.

Those attending will meet at the AgriLife Center in Pampa.

To register for the course, you are asked to call 806-669-8033.
