The Amarillo Police Department has announced that it will be hosting an active shooter training seminar on October 10th at the Amarillo Civic Center.
APD is hosting the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event at the Civic Center at 6:30pm on October 10th. The course is "designed to teach people what they can do to improve personal safety in the event they are present during an ongoing shooting incident," according to APD.
Cpl. Danny Perezand Sgt. Jerome Godfrey will be presenting the course.
Tickets are not needed for the event but seating is limited to the first 250 people. For more information, visit police.amarillo.gov.
