Mayor Ginger Nelson gave her "State of the City" speech today at the Amarillo Civic Center.
Nelson's speech was her first public address since taking office earlier this year. Mayor Nelson spoke about local businesses, education and baseball, among other things.
The mayor's speech saw a crowd attend the event at the Civic Center's Grand Plaza including members of the community, education representatives and City staff members.
