City to Host Meet and Greet with City Manager Candidates

Amarillo residents hoping to meet the candidates vying to become Amarillo's next city manager will have their chance tonight.

The City of Amarillo will be hosting a reception tonight at the Amarillo Civic Center's Heritage Ballroom, for residents to get to know the five candidates for City Manager. The social reception will be held 5:30-7pm, and will feature the candidates.

The five candidates vying to be Amarillo's next city manager include: Robert S. Cowell, Jr., of Amarillo, Mark L. McDaniel, of Dallas, Jared H. Miller, of San Marcos, Ronald L. Olson, of Corpus Christi, and James M. Twombly, of Tulsa.

Interviews with the candidates began today, according to amarillo.gov, and will continue tomorrow, beginning with a City Council work session at 10am.
