Suspect Sought in Pizza Robbery

Amarillo Police Department officers are seeking a suspect in connection with an early morning robbery of a pizza delivery driver.

APD reports that officers were dispatched at about 1:07am to 2601 SW 3rd Avenue on the report of a robbery of a pizza delivery driver. The 31-year-old victim reported that he was robbed at gunpoint while making a delivery for a pizza restaurant. The victim stated that he was sent to an address in the 700 block of South Forest and was given information that the order was to be delivered to a home behind the address given, which was accessible from the alley.

When the driver reached the alley, APD reports that a suspect, described as wearing a black ski mask and blue coat, approached the driver. The suspect produced a handgun and the driver was directed to empty his pockets. The victim complied and dropped the money to the ground. The suspect then had the victim turn around. The suspect then picked up the money and pizzas and left northbound, on foot.

The victim was not injured. Officers searched for the suspect but did not locate him in the area.

No further description of the suspect was given.
