Why did you decide to run for this office in 2026?

I chose to run for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1 because, after serving with the Potter County Sheriff's office for almost 19 years, I believe this is the next step in continuing to serve my community. This role is another meaningful way to give back and ensure that everyone who comes before the court is treated fairly and with respect. I believe my experience has prepared me well for the responsibilities of this position, and I am confident I would be an excellent judge who takes this role seriously and serves our community with care, integrity, and dedication.

If elected, what will be your top three priorities in office?

Efficient & Fair Case Management
Manage minor criminal cases and civil disputes promptly and fairly
Ensure cases are handled efficiently to reduce delays and costs
Deliver clear, well-reasoned decisions grounded in the law
Community Accessibility & Service
Be accessible and responsive to residents of the precinct
Conduct marriages and preside over inquests with professionalism and care
Serve as a local, approachable Justice of the Peace for everyday community needs
Upholding Justice & the Law
Apply the law impartially and without bias
Maintain strong legal knowledge and sound judgment
Operate the court with transparency, integrity, and accountability

What is an issue you believe has gone overlooked in your race and how will you address it if elected?

I do not believe this issue has been overlooked; however, school truancy is an important matter that deserves continued attention. If elected I plan on collaborating with social agencies, schools, and families to address underlying factors such as poverty or health problems; and making sure children receive support rather than merely court involvement.

Do you have any notable endorsements you would like to highlight for voters? If this question is not applicable, please write N/A.

Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position?

The qualities that I believe make for an excellent judge are experience, efficiency, organization, and fairness. I believe that I am the best candidate because I possess all of these qualities and more.
