Naneen Campbell Warren

On Tuesday, September 4, 2018, Naneen Campbell Warren, adored wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 87.

Nan was born on May 19, 1931, in McLean, TX, to Bill and Isla Campbell.  Nan attended the University of Oklahoma for one year and then met and married David Mathias Warren, Jr. and moved to Austin, TX, while he attended the University of Texas.  They raised two daughters, Janet and Stephanie, and two sons, Davy and Stephen.

Nan had a passion for life and faith in God that was evident in everything she did.  She was a tireless volunteer for years at Dallas Theological seminary and Luke’s closet.  Over the years Nan arranged countless banquets for widows and those less fortunate in her community.  She was adored and loved by all who knew her.  Nan’s indomitable spirit encouraged family and friends alike in good times and in times of adversity.  Nan’s entire extended family was the pride and joy of her life, constantly arranging family reunions and keeping family in touch with a weekly family email.  The legacy of Nan’s generosity, kindness, passion for Christ, love of nature, compassion, and courageous spirit will live on through them.

Nan was preceded in death by her father, Bill, and mother, Isla and granddaughter Lynley.

She is survived by her husband, Dave, and four children Janet, Stephanie, Stephen, and Davy, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on November 23, 2018, at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Spearman, TX.

Donations in honor of Nan can be made to Luke’s Closet at #3909 Swiss Avenue, Dallas, RD or Samaritan’s Purse.
