Saturday is World Lion Day at the Amarillo Zoo

World Lion Day is set to take place at the Amarillo Zoo this weekend.

According to information from the Zoo, the event will be a celebration of lions. Included events at the World Lion Day will include lion keeper chats, children's crafts, and an "I Love Lions" selfie station. Attendees are also invited to learn about lions and how to help the "king of beasts."

The event starts at 1pm on Saturday, August 12th and will run until 3pm. The cost of admission is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and $2 for children ages 3 through 12. Children two and under get in for free.
