Sanford-Fritch Independent School District has posted signs in front of its campuses warning trespassers of a new school-wide policy.
Sanford-Fritch has posted signs after becoming concealed carry safety program certified. The new program will reportedly allow teachers and other district staff to keep firearms on campus that are locked up.
The signs posted in front of the school's campuses read, "NOTICE: Beware that staff members may be armed and will use whatever force is nesecarry to protect our students and staff. SFISD Board of Trustees."
Sanford-Fritch joins several other school districts in adopting the policy. Other school districts participating include: Claude ISD, Highland Park ISD, Panhandle ISD, Quanah ISD and Shamrock ISD.
